no dial tone

Today we had a large wagon tipping in the road - the back of the tipper caught the telephone wire from the house to the telegraph pole and stretched it considerably - it has not snapped but now I have no dial tone or phone ringing - however the broadband is still ok. 

I tried an online chat with talktalk this afternoon but was disconnected and nobody has been in touch since despite leaving my mobile number for contact. 

very frustrating - please help!

I'm really sorry to hear this.

 

I have escalated this over to Openreach to be investigated by a line engineer and we should receive further updates from Openreach within the next 48-72hrs.
