Hi I have had this problem now for over a month.
My safe search and home safe isnt working.
They have all been checked online as on but when I check any site requested by myself as blocked I can still accessing them.
This needs sorted please.
I have spoken to so many advisors and they have been no help.
Yes I have I do not want
Or any other porn site but I wrote that in to make sure and it is still allowing me access. Very unsatisfied about this as I thought talktalk liked to keep people safe.
It worked for 3 months then all of a sudden stopped. Iv been on the phone to countless amounts of advisors and they don't know what's wrong. So sadly I think I will have to leave and get my services else were as I don't feel it's safe enough.
Hi we just joined TalkTalk on friday switched on kidsafe and thought all was well and that it would be like the BT safe guards. Tonight we decided to test it and were appalled that even though its clearly ON in our settings it didnt block any adult constant at all. Absolutely disgraceful and we are reporting this. Very upset about this 😡
*removed* that's my number. Tho we don't actually have a landline phone. We had to get one due to just using the WiFi.
I have done all the tests turning it on and off etc. Nothing works. I really hope it gets sorted soon. Please if you can help and try and get it sorted ASAP I would be very thankful.
Hi Surbzi after giving up on TalkTalk taking any interest in sorting this out and keeping my kids safe. I have discovered a way of blocking the majority of the filth on the web.If you go to Cleanbrowsing.org it takes you through it.
Log into your Router (by putting 192.168.1.1 in the address bar you can access your router got this from TalkTalk site) the sign in details are under the removable password tab on the router.
Once into the router go to Dashboard - See Internet Settings - Manage Advanced Settings - TalkTalk WiFi Hub - then the DNS tab
In the DNS tab change the settings to the ones given on Cleanbrowsing.org
126.96.36.199 put it in on both spaces as it wont let you leave one blank. and save.
I then tried searching for inappropriate websites and all are blocked that I clicked on.
Hopefully a temporary fix until TalkTalk sort it out for you
Let me know how you get on. Cheers Scott
I just changed the settings and saved, works with my laptop and my wifes Chromebook and the PC but have since noticed its not working with the Amazon Fire Tablet so maybe depends on browser. I'm no techhead but had to try something and its the best Ive got so far. Sorry it didnt help. Hopefully TalkTalk will get their act together and sort it out for you.
