My new TT TV plus box failed within a few weeks of receiving it. During the Covid-19 crisis, it proved difficult to contact anyone at TT to deal with the issue ( we couldn't find a live chat link or contact phone number). A post on this forum got no response, then, by chance we read the update on Coronavirus banner and followed the talktalk.help/update (https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Articles/Our-update-on-Coronavirus-27th-March/ta-p/2468300) link. There we found the live chat facility and were soon talking to an agent, who agreed that we needed a new TV plus box. Within 18 hours the new box arrived and it seems to work well.
