I apologise if the following topic is repeated else ware but with so many (very interesting) threads to read my subject may be old news!
My landline phone is protected by BT Call Guardian. If an incoming call is from an automated source or the live caller does not choose to follow the connection instructions then my phone does not ring and I am not disturbed.
In the last 4 weeks I have had 20 calls rejected. Today, just for my own amusement I called back all of them and none of them connected, the majority announced ‘number not recognised’.
In this age of technology is it not possible to intercept false numbers at the telephone exchange and prevent them from connecting?
