Will Talktalk mobile sustain?

It seems Talktalk mobile users are being upgraded to 4G  connection. My mobile has been picking up 4g for the last few days.

Will talktalk mobile be eventually closed down by Talktalk, as they are encouraging people to move to O2? I have been using the mobile for more than 5years now. Is it time to move to a different operator or Talktalk mobile will sustain? Thanks.

Hi @ruzbeh

An interesting observation about 4G connectivity.

No anouncement about that from TalkTalk. The last statement made by the CEO was expected closure of TalkTalk Mobile in early 2019.  An earlier FAQ said that at least 30 days' notice would be given to TalkTalk mobile customers prior to closure.

I have the same question. I'm still a TalkTalk mobile customer and have noticed 4G when using mobile data. Any updates on what's going on regarding TalkTalk Mobile?

Hi an1sa_k

There is no change for the future of our Mobile section. We are encouraging the switch to O2.

I think I'm going to. What offer are you currently on? @TallTrees

I don't see any good offers at O2. More expensive than what others are offering. 😞

...you'll see the TalkTalk customer offers by signing in to your MyAccount and selecting from the Offers & Upgrades drop-down list O2 mobile deals.

There's a brief summary on the TalkTalk website but select the blue button link Connect to O2 to see more deals.

Hello ~ I took the offer from TalkTalk which is £3.00 per month

I am a low user this is what is was when I moved August 2018

500 mins phone

500mb data

500 texts    included

You would need to check with TT

O2 lift their prices by the inflation figure in April but on £3.00 it is very little.

Good luck to you @an1sa_k

I use a computer and have broadband with TT

I was sorry to move from TT as it was nice to have all in one area.

Since moving though I have found O2 very friendly and the Community is

great.  I pay monthly on O2 and hope to stay a long time.

I have been with TT for about 15 years now and have just decided to keep

my broadband facility with them for another 18months.

I am a low user so I took the offer from TT to move to O2 (pay monthly)

that offer was £3.00 per month for 500mb data 500mins phone and 500 texts.

That suits me fine.  This may not suit everyone.

I have BB  with TT and have been with TT for about 15 years would have liked

to had the tack-on mobile but had to move.

O2 are friendly and the Community helpful and friendly.

O2 uplift their fees on mobile every April by inflation but on £3 it isn't much.

Not to say there are not very good offers out there.

Good luck

They are adequate but I wouldn't call them brilliant. Three and Everything Everywhere have better coverage and faster 4G in my experience.

Hello ~

Each person has to go to the best provider that is suitable to them.

There are many out there.  Best of luck
