Warner Bros. Studios, Leavesden, the home of Harry Potter, is now also the creative movie studio for Lara Croft. Yes, who didn't play the fantasy adventure game and felt a little let down by the Angelina Jolie version of your adventuring character. Well, the video game and film experience are rebooted with a new film directed by Roar Uthaug, made at Leavesden and on location in South Africa to show a more vulnerable, yet firmly driven, Lara Croft played convincingly by Alicia Vikander.
We see Lara Croft as the physically strong yet unfocused daughter of an eccentric adventurer father who vanished when she was barely a teen. Refusing to accept her father's business inheritance or his loss and determined to solve the puzzle of his mysterious death she follows the clues to his final location and a fabled tomb on a mythical island that might be somewhere off the coast of Japan. But her mission is not easy; just reaching the island is treacherous. Against all odds and armed with the usual array of weapons and skills and a stubborn spirit to fight off all opponents, the perilous tomb raiding adventure begins.
