Hi Everybody,

'I have a BT Openreach fibre hub with a yellow lead coming from "LAN 1" and plugged into the red fibre socket on my HG533 Talktalk router. Do I really need the Open Reach device or can I plug the filtered telephone line directly into the red socket of the TT router? I am also proposing to instal my new TT HG633 in place of the HG533. Any advice would be very much appreciated'

Hi @Chrisa72

The HG633 replaces the combination of the HG533 and Openreach modem. No, don't plug the red WAN port to the phone line.

Here's a quick guide to using a Wi-Fi router without an Openreach modem.

And to the setup of the HG633 router.
