Fibre Dropping speeds Day by Day

Hi All,

I'm at my wits end on this. I'm on a 38mb Fibre package. Over the last month my sync speed to the router  have consitantly dropped by 2mbps per day. I have contact TT customer services who have sent an BS Engineer who change the faceplate and confirmed the low speeds and an OR engineer who checked the cabinet and again confirmed the sync speed issue. I have been sent a new router DLink 3782 and iniital the sync speed was up but then started to drop again. I'm currently have a sync speed of 16450kps download/9999 upload on the router login page.

TT customer service are now saying that 16mb is my minimum speed so I can't leave my contract ( which is rubbish) without fees as I have 12month left on my contract so will monitor  the speed issue.  This has been going on for just  over a month and seem to be getting the standard we'll monitor the speeds and call you back but never calling back and having to start from scratch explaining the issue. I'm not going to pay 12months for ###bb to move elsewhere and TT customer service are less than useless at resolving this issue so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi gasus1,

I can see that you've spoken to a colleague earlier today and you now have an engineer visit booked.

I should have added that the router sync speed in my previous post has dropped from 39999 to 37437 after dropping and re-sycing itself.

Router Errors. This is on the newly supplied Dlink Router after 48 minutes in which the router broadband sync disconnected by itself. Yes please escalate my complaint .

Hi gasus1

I can see that you also have an open complaint. Would you like me to escalate this to our CEO office?

HI ,

This has been on ongoing issue where the router sync speed would reset itself approx evey 24 hours but 2mb less download. Afterliterally  hours talking to TT CS and having a brightspark engineer / Openreach engineer a new router and now the latest development of having #openreach change the port I have sync speeds of 39999/9999 download since yesterday. However the sync still disconnects every 24 hours (although the sync speed hasn't dropped yet!), there are still constant errors clocking up on the router page and there seems to be an issue of ethernet as speed tests on download show less than half of the available sync speed over ethernet whereas over wifi the speed tests hover around the 36mb download.

Hi gasus1,

I'm sorry for the delay. I've run a test on the line which has detected a potential fault. Is the connection also unstable or are you rebooting/switching off the router?

Are you also experiencing any issues with the voice service such as noise on the line or no dial tone?

Thanks
