Hi! i get charged for 0800 local numbers with talk talk? BT wont charge for these numbers. Is there any chance talk talk will change this to be free, as its not very nice seeing these charges. Or is there a way around this.

Thanks

Chris.

Agree with Mark but do you mean like 0845 numbers which can or can not be chargeable depending on type of TT plan you are on.

My sincere apologise!:o It is 0845 numbers we were dialling. Are these not local rate & free with BT?

As far as I know 0845 numbers are free with BT according to the plan you are on. Thus if you have free evening and weekend calls with BT I believe evening and weekend 0845 calls are free.
The position is the same if you are on the my Talk Talk essentials tariff. Evening and weekend 0845 calls are free, and daytime 0845 calls are free if you have the Anytime boost. In fact one of the great advantages of paying for the Anytime boost is obtaining free 0845 and 0870 calls during the day when they are most useful.
Note that 0844 and 0871 calls are always chargeable with both BT and Talk Talk at any time. Sometimes you can obtain an alternative number from the "Say no to 0870" website.

HI collectors,

As the other members have said 0800 are free to all 0845/0870 number are free however if you are on an evening and weekend tariff you will only get these call free in the evening and weekend. If you are on an any time tariff then these calls are free any time, also remember the 60min call limit. You will be charged if your call is longer than 60mins, just hang up and redial...

Hope this helps

Stephen
