Hi, I j
Have recently purchased a smart tv, when I do a speed test on my tv I can reach download speeds of up to 77mbps hard wired through Ethernet but only reaching Upload speeds of .8mbps. I have tried direct feed from BT modem and there is no difference to my Upload speeds, can you advise please?

Hi Transcend,

I'm sorry to hear you're having problems with your upload speeds.  The last speed test you completed shows a much faster upload speed.  Was this speed test completed using a different device?

Cheers

Hi Emma, just did another test this morning, download speed 40.77mbps and Upload 1.8mbps. When I run the speed test my Upload speeds rise to around 10Mbps but then drops and holds around 0.8 - 1.9Mbps.

Hi Transcend

I've completed a line test and the upload speeds looks good. Please can you run some speed tests when connected directly at the BT Openreach modem in a wired state so we can see how the speed compares.

Thanks

Debbie

Hi Debbie, as requested I have run additional speed checks wired into the BTmodem, the first 3 test are wired to the bt modem the following 3 test are wired through the router.
1.10pm 69.90 & 0.96
1.12pm 61.01 & 0.95
1.15pm 63.30 & 1.20
1.17pm 40.43 & 0.81
1.18pm 34.46 & 1.11
1.22pm 31.00 & 0.81.
When I do speed tests on my PC my uploads speeds are fine, I am looking to see if you advise on how to increase the upload speed on my smart tv.

Hi Transcend

Apologies, I'm not sure why the upload speed would differ between PC and smart TV, if you are connected wired.

Our Community Members may be able to offer advice in regards to this.

Thanks

Debbie
