Youview Sky Sports freezing with errors TTG-954 and 959

This fault has slowly got worse over the past few weeks

The picture used to intermittently pixelate which I put up with but over the last week it now freezes with the error codes of TTG-954 and 959 which instruct me to power off the router & box - the fault returns later on!

The ADSL led flashes

The Internet led sometimes goes out or goes red

The router is connected to the Master phone socket via a Micro filter

The router is connected to the Youview box via a cable

I've reseated all cables on the router & box

Is this external or a router problem? If router then how do I get Talktalk to replace it under the 24 month warranty?

Hi Redstar,

Sorry to hear that you are having problems, I don't think it has anything to do with your router or box as more and more customers are having that same problem with the picture freezes, Talktalk are currently investigating the problem.

Thanks for the prompt reply, Barry :smileyhappy:

If that is the case then I feel that I am entitled to a refund on my Sky Boost subscription as it is no longer possible to watch the Sky channels any more.

Any ideas on how to claim it?

Hi Redstar,

You're currently showing connected at 3.8mb, your connection stats are varying and there are drops in connection showing. The minimum speeds required to view live Boost channels is 5mb. This could be affecting the problems you're experiencing. Do you have an alternative router, filter and ADSL cable you can test at the BT test socket without use of telephone extensions?

Thanks

Hi Nathan

Thanks for the advice, we had noticed that our Internet kept dropping out lately

I watched SkySports4 last night without any glitches and have just run a speed test which shows an improvement going up to 7.6mb

I'll monitor the situation and get back to you if necessary

Thanks

Hi Redstar,

How has your connection been since your last post? Have you still been experiencing problems with Sky Sports freezing?

Thanks

Hi Nathan

Everything has been stable, so whatever the problem was, it seems to have gone away
