Hackers using my internet - is this a scam call?

I have received a couple of calls from someone on my landline saying that they're calling from TalkTalk, saying that hackers are using our internet. I have no way of knowing they are who they say they are and therefore have cut the call very short - and I can't find a phone number to actually call TalkTalk to speak to someone to check if there actually IS a problem...

 

Can you anyone provide a) the customer services phone number for TalkTalk, and b) has anyone else received these kinds of calls?

Hi KAG73, as ferguson has said its a scam. We don't make those calls.

TalkTalk would never call you like that out of the blue. It is a scam. If you have a record of the number that called use Check and Report from the community menu.

 

The main contact number is 0345 172 0088.
