I have had a couple of potential customers now who I couldn't help because of the talktalk scam protection. They did manage to disable scam protection via the live chat which allowed them access to my connectwise website to join a session, but then the software still didn't work because some other addresses are still blocked.
I got one of them to try teamviewer instead and they were able to get to the website to download teamviewer, but when running it teamviewer comes up with an error about not being able to access the site.
So it seems disabling scam protection does allow some access to the remote control sites, but not enough for them to actually work.
I can't provide any talktalk account details as these were new customers who had phoned up for help. I just wanted to make you aware that turning off scam protection isn't working for everyone.
