How can I get a replacement youview box?

The hdmi port on my youview box has failed. When connected to a TV it just shows a black screen. The scart port still works however with no issues.

I have recently bought a new television which has no scart connection. This has rendered the youview box useless. I have contacted Talktalk by phone and online on a number of occasions to ask for a replacement. This has been refused unless I pay for it. I find it frustrating that I am paying for a service that I cannot use because of Talktalks faulty equipment. The box itself is also a good number of years old, so it's difficult to understand why a replacement cannot be given as a courtesy. Can anyone provide information on Talktalks obligation in relation to this issue?

Thanks....

Hi,

Yes I've tried 3 different hdmi cables that all work with other devices. None have worked. I've made Talktalk aware of this and they have refused to replace unless I pay for a new vouview box

Have you checked with a different HDMI cable to confirm that it is the box which is at fault? If you are a TalkTalk TV subscriber then they will generally swap out a faulty box.
