Why was I not made aware that the youview box is not WiFi compatible - what century are we living in? Must I have wires all over my living room to allow for streaming BBC iplayer??! I would not have bothered if I had known!

Hi

As Keith advises, there are other options, the majority use powerline adapters to extend the signal to other locations in the home.

Thanks

Karl.

Ethernet will always give a much more reliable connection than WiFi. You do not need to have wires everywhere, you can use powerline adapter kits to extend the connection over the mains electricity.

@Karl-TalkTalk has had success using a TP-Link product to connect via WiFi in this situation, but it will only work if your immediate area is not plagued with WiFi interference. I would always suggest before spending money on this type of solution, to check out the levels of WiFi interference via a WiFi analyser. I can help with this if required.
