Missing channels

About a week ago I lost a number of channels through my YouView box including the BBC ones, I tried a re-tune but this did not work. After some tests through the TT chat function, I was sent a new box. Unfortunately the exact same has happened again.

I have tried the aerial straight into my TV and the channels work perfectly.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I assume they are HD channels you have lost.

Probably due to this.

Some tuners can cope with reduced signal better than others and the box tuners do have a tendency to be weaker, than those in the TV.

You could discuss with a local aerial installer, who may be able to check your installation and make suggestions to improve the signal by realigning or with a masthead booster.

Hi

Did you try a retune of the box with no channels connected to clear the tuner, then try the retune again ?

Thanks

Karl.

Hi

Can you add your home number to your 'Community Profile' so I can look at the signal levels from here.

Thanks

Hi

I can see you are using the Dlink router.  I'm unable to see the TV box online through this model, can you advise what signal level is showing for BBC1 (SD) and also for BBC1 on the TV.

Thanks

It’s tricky as it just a bar rather than a number but signal level I would guess is about 20% and quality is about 30%.

Hi

Your quite close to the local transmitter also, if this has been the same across 2 boxes I would double check all aerial leads / connection points for a good fit, and no loose connectors, and check the aerial alignment is ok, pointing the same direction as the other aerials in the area, so it's not moved in high winds etc.

Thanks

whilst we have had hot weather,  tonight,  freeview channels stopped.  Retuned many times and managed 76 subscription channels found but 0 freeview. Even after full factory reset.  Any ideas?

@Ant034

having tried a retune, you will now have to keep trying until you get the channels back

If you still have issues once the weather improves please start your own thread as each case is considered unique and it is easier for support to be given to one person per thread and also less confusing.
To start your thread click the Browse button, then Help With Your Service and select the appropriate category. You will then see a Blue Button "Start A Topic"
Please also note that you should only post back on that thread and not start another on the same topic as multiple posts cause delay to you and others seeking help.
Thank you
