Hi there,

Having discussed with Customer Services on the phone about a renewal of my talktalk package and a new TV box. Why then have I just revieved a letter through the post telling me it is going to cost me £200 for the replacement box (especially considering the current one doesnt work)?

This is scandalous. There is no way I would ever have agreed to pay this money.

As a long term customer of talktalk is this how you treat your loyal customers?

I have been waiting for over a week for the new box to turn up. It never turned up and then the day was changed without any thought to inform me and now I'm being told it's going to cost a small fortune too!

All the while I'm currently paying you for a service that doesnt work.

Why am i being told to pay for a replacement box?

Regards,

Hi

This is not normal.  You are on an older legacy package and any emails for the box at this rate should have been suppressed.

Karl.

Hi Karl,

That is good to know. Thanks.

Do you know why I got a letter asking for £200 for a new box then? Quite mysterious.

Is it normal practice to ask for that much money for a £25 box? Seems very strange.

Thanks,

Val

Hi Val,

you are not going to be charged for the replacement TV Box.  I've just had a quick look at your account, and the agent placed the TV Box order for a final price of £0.

For new customers. The usual TV Box charge is £25, but no charges have been applied for the TV Box.

Thanks

Karl.
