I have a TalkTalk Youview set topbox (Huawei). If I don't pay the new £4 TV service charge, will I still be able to use the Youview features (pause/rewind, record programmes, on demand players, etc)? I also have the Entertainment Boost, will I loose this?

Hi

If you do not want to pay the TV charge and have the TV option taken off your account, you will lose access to add and remove TV Boosts flexibly.  You will lose access to TV Boost on demand content via the TalkTalk player.  You will also lose access to TV on the go services via the web and Mobile App.

Also, any current recordings you have made from a Boost channel will stop working when you are no longer subscribed to that channel.

You will be able to use the youview box to receive freeview channels, record, pause and rewind live TV and access non TalkTalk services such as BBC Iplayer , All 4 player etc, Netflix and Now TV players etc.

Thanks

Karl.

I had some issues with my TV boosts since setting up the account last August. Won't bore you with the deets here, just wanted to say the following:

Spoke to Wendy from customer service, then a lady called Lovely (and she was!) who passed me to a Manager by the name of Losa. After five months of being frustrated, the delightful woman Losa sorted ALL of my issues out in a matter of minutes! What a fab lady indeed! I'm very happy with the end result and wanted to say "THANKS" to the three ladies I was fortunate enough to speak with today!

Finally, I'm a happy customer!

Hi

Not paying the £4 charge will result in the loss of Boost channels. Any existing Boost channels subscribed to will be removed.  As per a licencing agreement with the broadcasters, you cannot access any recordings made from a boost channel when you are no longer subscribed to that channel.

Thanks

Karl.
