The Samsung e-manual is well laid out and the index is linked to the contents. I found the CAT7 recommended cable type fairly swiftly. I hope that helps you to enjoy your new TV all the more.

Hi @Pash02

The Ethernet port specification is 10/100 so the maximum speed is 100Mbps. However, the e-manual recommends CAT7 shielded twisted pair for the connection. The need for this higher specification cable is not for the higher speed but for the screening to avoid interference pick up.

Until your telly, internet and router are capable of carrying speeds of more than a gigabit you'll be fine!  🙂

I thought it may need a high cat for speed or something.

Cat 6 will be fine, anything else is overkill for such a simple connection.
