I am sorry to be back again ! my box is still (after carrying out the maintenance) not recording, comes up failed to record, older programmes that were recorded crash part way through, to start up takes around 15/20 minutes part black screen part loading freeview. I have tried catch up again but that now also crashes part way through a program.
Any further ideas please, as we do most of our viewing through recordings enabling viewing when we are able to sit of an evening.

Try the full factory reset from the settings menu as advised and see if this helps.
If a new box is required, TalkTalk no longer provide a recording box and can only offer the Lite Box (non recording).

as you have tried a maintenance reset, the only thing left is a full factory reset from the settings menu. You will lose your recordings but you may be asked to do this before the support staff look at other alternatives.
Please note that if you are eligible for a new box, TalkTalk now only supply non recordable ones., So it's best to try all alternatives if recording is important to you.
