It seems as though my YouView box has reached the end of its useful life - been having issues for months whereby it stops responding to the remote control (especially when watching a recording) and now channels are breaking up quite a bit (compared to watching the same freeview channels on my TV).

 

Even the light on the front has dimmed to almost non-existant.

How do you get a replacement box - as there is no way I can find on the site to contact TalkTalk (no live chat, nor even phone numbers showing)

Hi

 

No need to return the box in this instance.

 

New boxes are sent without a remote as the current one will work with all models.

Now received and set up thank you.  Do I need to return the original?  There was no returns label in the package.

I was also surprised that there was no remote control included in the box

Thanks - I did try this some weeks ago and it still stops responding to the remote control every now and then.

Oddly it only ever seems to happen when watching a recorded program

Hi


Can you try a Youview Maintenance Reset (Option 2: Keep Recordings).


Set the TV Box back up and see if performance improves.
