My box is showing error 501, I’ve tried the resets but nothings changed and I don’t want to lose all my recordings. What do I do!!

Are you able to access the menus and try the full factory reset ?

Do you mean Maintenance Mode, keep recordings? If that doesn't work then sadly the only other option is a full reset. Otherwise, if your box needs to be swapped out you will lose all your current content anyway.
