My Youview box is always playing up, just straight up freezing mid show and have to turn off at the back to unsort which takes ages for setup. If you try and use any of the apps it also freezes, if you leave it on pause too long it freezes and you have to turn off. And this last week the recording have not been working they play but just a black screen, you can ff and pause etc but just all on a black screen. Would love a new box as something is not correct with this one and it's pretty old.

Have you tried a maintenance reset OPTION 2 which keeps your recordings :
Maintenance Reset Option 2 (Keep Recordings)
Turn the box off, then unplug the power lead for about 10 minutes.
Re-plug in power lead.
You will then need to reset your personal settings (such as parental controls / ANTENNA OUT / Surround Sound etc.) and also probably reset your scheduled recordings (It might be worth taking a note of future recordings before doing this so you don’t miss any).
It is also a good idea to restart your router once you have done this.
If you do NOT have any recordings that you want to keep :
Blue YV /Menu button on the remote > Settings > Factory reset. This option will re-format the hard drive and reinstall the system on your box and you will lose all recordings.
Again It is also a good idea to restart your router once you have done this.
TT are no longer issuing recording boxes only "Lite" boxes so do try this.
