My telephone socket and router are at the opposite end of the room from my TV socket & Freeview box. My internet light is not showing on my TalkTalk adapter. How do i connect my ethernet cable?

Hi @julieannbremner

Could you confirm that you are referring to a TalkTalk box, not a Freeview box sourced by yourself.

If you are using the TalkTalk lite box there is no wireless capability so you will aditionally need a pair of  PowerLine Adapters to complete the set up.

One plug goes next to the router and the other one near to the TT box. Connect one ethernet lead from the router to plug near to it then another one from the plug nearest to the TT box. Plug them directly into the sockets not using extension leads if at all possible.

IMPORTANT for staff support.
Could you please ensure that your personal information is up to date in your profile including your registered land line.

If you are unsure of your phone number, you can find this in My Account or dial 17070 from your landline phone and this will confirm the number for you.
Thank you
