Hi,

I'd like to cancel my TalkTalk TV service as I don't use it and was told I'd be able to after the first 30 days when I upgraded my broadband package.

 

How do I go about cancelling?

@purpleandy  Hi on here but might not get reply till next week or could try the chat on the site.

 

A bite of info of Forum:
The forum is not real-time 24/7 support, so depending on how busy they are & how many are working at any one time, this can take 24 - 48 hrs (excluding weekends & limited cover on Bank Holidays). Alternatively, you can call the call centre or use online chat. The posts are responded to in time/date order, oldest first. So the fewer entries you make on your thread now, the sooner they will pick it up.

To save yourself time, please make sure that your community profile includes your first & last names, broadband phone number & if possible an alternative contact number. This can be done by clicking on your Avatar picture then click on "My Settings" followed by:- Personal Profile > Personal Information

Otherwise, TalkTalk will not be able to tie up your forum username to your broadband account. Only you & TalkTalk have visibility of your details.

The TV charge applies to all new contracts and would not be removed.

I was specifically told when I upgraded to my current contract that I would be able to cancel the TV service after a minimum of 30 days.

 

Andy: So one more question then. If I take the offer of Faster Fibre + TV for £23.95 per month. Can I then cancel the TV part later to save the £4 per month?
Alicia: Yes you may as this comes with a minimum commitment period of 30 days.

 

What I wasn't told at the time was how?

Thanks Karl but that won't be necessary. I took the first poster's advice and used Chat to talk to someone who has removed the service from my account, since it is optional as I'd originally been told.
