Tv box faulty

My box is not working. Keeps losing sound & picture,both on live tv & on recordings. Have changed all cables & done 3 factory resets but still the same. Makes it unusable...really missing pause & record functions. Any idea on how to resolve this...or do I need a new box? Tia
