The Youview box is on the latest software including for Apps and every time I try plan a recording from the TV guide I get the message:
We can't add this to mytv as its is not available on demand.
This happens with all Tv channels (screenshot attached) BBC One HD etc.
This is an updated box sent by TalkTalk part of a renewal.
I have tried:
- a factory reset
- reboot the box
- retune all channels
- reboot router
All of which did not resolve the issue.
Anyone know how to fix?
From the screen shot it looks as though you have selected Tue 16th to add an on demand program, is that correct ? You should not be able to add a program to on demand that has not yet been broadcast.
I may have made the wrong assumption, so please let me know.
Using the example you have shown, if you want to record "INFORMER" as you have shown when highlighted just press record button and it will offer you the option to record either just the episode or the series.
From the guide if you want to watch something from the relevant player, if it is available you will see a small black arrow in a circle, just click on this and it will play directly from the guide.
For other options go to players and apps from the blue menu button.
Thanks for your reply.
You right I should get a prompt to either record one eplisoe or series unfortunately I don't, I get the message as per screen shot. This message appears with every program even if it's the next news hour program on BBC news.
Can anyone else offer a solution or have ended up with a faulty box?
You shouldn't be getting this as you say. If you don't have any recordings do a FACTORY RESET from the menu or if you do, I should try a MMR as per the below instructions :
Turn the box off, then unplug power lead for a couple of minutes.
Re plug in power .
You will then need to reset your personal settings (such as parental controls / RF loop through / Surround Sound etc.) and also reset your scheduled recordings (might be worth taking a note of future recordings before doing this so you don’t miss any).
It is also a good idea to restart your router once you have done this.
I've just noticed that you have already done a Factory reset. It may be worth trying again though. SORRY !!!
