YouView box will not start up

My Youview box lights up for about 2-3 seconds and then goes off with an audible 'click'. I had a online chat with the TalkTalk tech team for over an hour on 10th Sep (I think) and after trying a different HDMI cable the box switched on. I was sent a new HDMI cable very promptly. However, the box again switches off after 2-3 seconds. I have attached the HDMI cable that was sent and have gone through all the suggestions from the chat such as a reset. I have had no tv for 4 days now. Is the answer simply a new box? I do not need the record function, just a basic pause/rewind/apps box.

Can you please add your home phone number or Account number to your Community Profile.

If unsure of your phone number, and if your line is working simply dial 17070 from your land line phone and this will confirm the number for you. Alternatively these details can be found within My Account online or may be on the heading of any paperwork you have received.
