Hi, Sometime last week something happened to my set top box. I now get 'failed to record messages' against all my 'recordings' and even successfully recorded programs from weeks ago won't play. I looked on the forums and I've tried the maintenance factory reset that keeps recordings, but it is still the same afterwards.
The hard drive seems to be spinning from the sound of it.
Are there any other tricks to try?

Hi
Can you try the full factory reset from the youview settings menu.
The maintenance reset does not wipe the hard drive but the factory reset will format this and set it back up.
This is the last option to try.
Thanks
Karl.

Karl,
That seems to have done the trick though I can't say I'm happy about losing all the recordings.
I also don't trust it not to do the same again with any new recordings.
Thanks though

Andy
Hi Andy
Glad this reset has worked. I know how frustrating it is to lose the previous recordings.
Monitor and any issues, please let me know.
Thanks
Karl.
