Youview box so slow responding

My Youview box has to be rebooted daily, takes an age to wake up and often does not respond to the remote. Recordings fail.Have tried reset to factory, etc but no better.

Replacement received today but no remote included, is this how they are meant to come? Instructions show a different style of remote although old one seems to work ok, obviously I will not be able to return this with the faulty box. Seems a bit odd.

All replacement units are shipped without a remote as the current remote will work with the new box.
