Here's how to get the best out of your devices on UFO.
UFO will always deliver speeds of around 900Mbps straight into your home, but even the best devices have limits to the speeds they can manage.
For the best possible speed, connect your PC or laptop directly to the router using a Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cable. With no interference from external signals, a wired connection will always be faster than Wi-Fi. You should be getting more than 900Mbps depending on the age of your network card and the age / specs of your machine. If you’re using a MacBook with a thunderbolt port you’ll need to use a 1GHz adapter.
Hard wire your games console for the best performance. You should see better download speeds and lower latency on UFO, but remember gaming servers have restrictions on the speeds they can handle.
For the best performance, if your TV has an Ethernet port use an Ethernet cable to connect your TV to your router. If you want to use your TV over Wi-Fi you can use our Wi-Fi Extender Kit to boost the signal.
