Adblock router configuration.

I like to watch YouTube on the TV, but want to turn off the ads. I can do this on my phone, but I think with the smart TV [LG] it has to be done via the router. I have wifi hub black.

I've seen it's possible with some routers.

Any advice?

Thanks

John

You will need to do this by installing an ad blocking plugin to your browser, it cannot be done to the router. To do it via the router, if it were possible, would mean that the router would have to inspect every single packet to see if it contains the HTTPS protocol & then edit the contents of each of these packets. This would slow down the transmission of packets from the router to the device.
