Hi,

On my routers management page it tells me that my 2.4GHz channel has a speed of 216mbps and my 5GHz channel has 82mbps. is this correct or should it be around the other way? I thought 5G was supposed to be faster than 2.4

I have the black wi-fi hub I think it's Huawei

We think the 82 Mbps is just the speed of the slowest device connected on the 5GHz band. You could try switching all devices off then reboot the router and switch all your devices back on and retest

Hi Chris

Yes it is still showing the same speeds, see attached screenshot.

I am using a wired connection from my pc to login to the router here.

We have about 4 devices using the 5G. 2 iPhones a Samsung Galaxy and a smart tv everything else either uses 2.4G or ethernet.

Just thought it was strange that's all, maybe it's a glitch in the firmware?

Cheers

Hi shparrowz,

It may have something to do with the device that's connected to the 5GHz band, if you check now is it still showing the same speeds?
