2p charge for 1571 service

Why not suspend the 2p service charge during the emergency, long conversations are a life line for isolated people, and not only the Seniors like me. I need to know who has contacted me as most conversations these days are 30 mins +, and  1 can only access these through 1571. This month this has added over £1 to my bill!!
