BEAT THE SCAMMERS: Block a #

Here's a novel idea! How about letting paying subscribers actually block a telephone number?! I've tried THREE times today to block a number on so called CallSafe. Each time I'm advised to "Try again".Yet another example of TalkTalk incompetence!

A bite of info of Forum:
The forum is not real-time 24/7 support, so depending on how busy they are & how many are working at any one time,(excluding weekends & limited cover on Bank Holidays).  The posts are responded to in time/date order, oldest first. So the fewer entries you make on your thread now, the sooner they will pick it up.

To save yourself time, please make sure that your community profile includes your first & last names, broadband phone number & if possible an alternative contact number. This can be done by clicking on your Avatar picture then click on "My Settings" followed by:- Personal Profile > Personal Information

Otherwise, TalkTalk will not be able to tie up your forum username to your broadband account. Only you & TalkTalk have visibility of your details.

There is a way to do this.

But first the Call Safe area of your on line account has been problematic for quite a period of time.

I have found that the problem is intermittent as today it may work then fail for ( pick a number )

Now the option

Add or Remove the last number that called you:
1. Dial 1 4 7 2 from your TalkTalk landline
2. Press 1
3. CallSafe will play the last number that called you. If it was withheld, CallSafe
will tell you
4. Press 1 to edit your Approved List
5. Press 1 to add the number to your Approved List
6. Press 2 to remove the number from your Approved List
7. CallSafe will confirm your changes
8. Press 1 to add or remove another number
9. Press 2 to finish and save your changes
Add or remove a new number:
1. Dial 1 4 7 2 from your TalkTalk landline
2. Press 2
3. Dial the full phone number you’d like to add or remove, including any area
codes
4. CallSafe will play the number back to you
5. If the number is correct, press 1. If you made a mistake, press 2 and dial it
again
