Hi only an idea but cant TalkTalk pass on the TV Boosts discounts on to existing customers by email in which I mean customers who are already on a TV Boost at say their paying £20.00 a month for Sky Sports and then TalkTalk does the same TV boost at say £18.00 a month as a discount why can't TalkTalk email customers who have the sports boost at a higher price and send an email asking the customers if they would like the same Boost that the customer has but at a lower rate when TalkTalk does these discounts on the TV Boosts surely that would really help TalkTalk get more customers and keep their existing customers surely that would work in TalkTalk favour by passing these offers on to their customers as I know if someone emailed me asking if I would like the sports pack at £18.00 a month for say 6/9 or 12 months and say I was paying them £20.00 or £22.00 a month for the same amount of months as originally purchased for or a few months more at the reduced rate surely TalkTalk would be more attractive by passing these discounts on to their customers as more people would come to TalkTalk and more than likely stay with TalkTalk but like I said just an idea regards Nick ... seems with covid enforcing the shut down of virtually all talktalk customer care communications, complaints raised through the dedicated complaints process are being neglected. i raised a complaint via email and this generated an auto response which simply directed me to the overloaded and inadequate agent chat feature. this auto response didn't reassure that my complaint had been received and would be processed, albeit slowly under the circumstances. i appreciate the difficulty in trying to manage customer services during covid, but it's surely important to at least keep a skeleton staff monitoring complaints raised through the official process ... Hi all was just sorting throgh some old stuff to dump. What a great Idea this was at least 15 years ago.  How about adding this function to the TT remote as many sites (including SKY CINEMA) don't have an on screen keyboard !! The remote is about the same thickness as the old TT remote and about the same thickness as a HUMAX remote.   Front of "ON TV" REMOTE. I've just installed an update on one of my boxes whilst watching the other and also had a recording on the other box   I lost the TV signal whilst the box updated and rebooted, and not for the first time. This will mean a gap in the recording and was also annoying to miss a portion  of the programme I was watching.    Why does RF loop through have to be activated and why is it deactivated during reboots?   I suggest it should just pass the signal through at all times.  ... What about TalkTalk competing with Sky Store and their "Buy and Keep" model for TV/film sales? It would be nice to pre-order a digital copy of a film through the YouView box, have it available OnDemand then get a physical DVD in the post when the movie is released so customers 'always have a copy'. As universal TV is coming to a close end of January and with lost UK food as well. Interesting that threads on this subject have all but disappeared, so a new thread is needed. It was suggested that it was hardware compatibity by talktalk reps on this forum, however virgin can show sky sports red button and you view us capable of red button programming, therfore it is a software issue that youview and talktalk have not got their act together to sort out for their customers. We pay for sky sports but get an inferior product to virgin and sky customers so come on talktalk, sort it out before the issue Mushrooms. Sports fans will soon realise talktalk is not a good provider for sky sports, over the last two evenings we should have had the choice of watching any championship match but this was not possible for talktalk customers.  ...  Youview’s  Assessability features are ok, but could do with tweaking slightly.     A lot of people who are visually impaired, like me, prefer different colours text and backgrounds to read the text clearly.  For example  my preferred   Colour is a black background with yellow text.    As the population is getting older, there are many  people  getting eye conditions  in their later years. It would be a big help with this slight tweak.   Finally I must say we haven’t seen any improvements or developments in the features for many months or years.   At the same time sky Q has come out with impressive accessibility features .     The Youview platform must Insurer include improvements and development in the  Assessability features  for the  continuing funding from the BBC.  (The BBC is one of the partners of youView. )   prescol ... I am sure this has been suggested before and the buck has always been passed back to YouView. The fact remains that programmes often run late and, contrary to popular belief, there is no linkage between the start and end of a recording with the actual start and end of transmission of the programme (not on the subscription channels anyway, which is all I care about as I use another PVR for Freeview channels). The Syfy channel is a persistent offender in this regard. Most of the recordings I have of the current Marvel's Runaways series start late and are missing the end. Hi, Reading posts regarding fibre to house connections, there is obviously a great demand for fast reliable network. Why doesn't Talktalk partner up with say Truespeed (based in South West) as they connect fibre cable (that is NOT shared with anyone else)  direct to house that guarentees stable, fast connection. A good alternative to BT/Openreach, Virgin and Sky. Copper land line can remain for use if customer still needs it (although I can see it will be a thing of the past). 5G will be a strong contender however I think people are put off by dominating eastern tec/gov.....
