I have just renewed my contract in December, and since then my wifi speed had been unbelieveably, frustratingly slow and i dont know why. Nothing with my home setup/router has changed, nothing with my broadband package has changed, just a renewal of the Fast Broadband i already had.
The speed checker says the speed to the router is poor but speed to devices is fine? The network checker detects a fault but nothing happens when i try to track the fault, i get a blank screen when i check and it eventually goes away without me hearing anything about it.
Any advice on what i can do to fix this would be appreciated.

Hi Debbie,
No problems with it! Speed is back to normal, just like it used to be!
Thank you so much for your help!!

Good Morning Rach
The line is now in sync at 10.2mb, DLM has increased the speed again.
How was the connection/speed for you last night?
Thanks

Hi Rach
Thanks again 🙂
We can either leave it at the test socket (I do at home) or we can try connecting back to your usual set up with the face plate on.
I will check the connection stats/speed again in the morning and I will post back on this thread.

Sure i can leave it like that no bother.
If the speed is better after the 24 hours do i move it back to the normal socket or should it be left in the test socket?
Thank you for all your help 🙂

Hi Rach
Thank you 🙂
I've reset the data port and optimised the connection again and the sync speed has increased to just under 10mb.
Would it be ok to leave the router in this set up for 24hrs just to see how the speed/connection compares?

Its in the test socket now 🙂

Hi Rach
Thanks for your reply.
Yes please can you connect it to the test socket just so I can try another line optimisation?

Hi Debbie
The router sits next to the master socket, but Its not in the test socket. Should i plug it into the test socket?
The router is a Huawei DG8041W-2.T5 ( I hope this is what youre looking for 😄 )

Hi Rach20
I'm sorry to hear this.
I've optimised your connection but the sync speed hasn't increased.
Is the router at the test socket at the moment? Which router are you using? (make and model)
Thanks
Debbie
