Emails from HMRC not arriving

Is there some reason why emails from HMRC digital  <noreply@tax.service.gov.uk> are not getting through?  The website repeatedly claims to have sent a link for email verification to my @talktalk.net address but it never arrives.... however it works perfectly with my Gmail address.  Is talktalk blocking HMRC or erroneously filtering it out as spam?

Thanks Ady.  The problem seems to actually have been a looooong delay in receiving HMRCs emails - they came through many hours later.  By which time the links had expired and I had to do it all again anyway...   It just raised my suspicions because HMRC emails to my Gmail came through in seconds, but the ones via talktalk were incredibly slow.

Hi Dangermouse, I've run several 7 scans on the HMRC domain and email address and they show no blocked messages from them.

No I'd be pretty confident that TalkTalk will not be filtering HMRC mail messages that do have full authentication.

My take is that HMRC are just not sending you any mail messages because their sending service operated by MailGun has put your email address on a suppression list.

Or to put it another way, HMRC's outgoing mail gets no further than MailGun because MailGun have a stop on sending. This happens when MailGun, for whatever reason, cannot get mail delivered to your Inbox.

The fix is to ask HMRC to ask their email admins to remove your email address from the MailGun suppression list and you'll get their messages once more.
