Good Afternoon People

Ive got an ASUS DSL-AC88U on the way to replace my ASUS DSL-AC55U. The 55 was a bit of a pain to setup and has been very flaky.

does anyone have the settings they could share for the 88??

thanks

OK thanks, do you have a TalkTalk router that you can test with?

Just one socket which is where the router and phone plug in. We did have 3 but BT removed the others

OK thanks, do you just have the one telephone socket or do you also have one or more extension sockets?

We’ve not used the landline for years, I’ll check it later if I can find the phone

Hi Avinitlarge,

Are you experiencing any problems with your telephone service, any noise on the line?

Hello,

Ok thanks for confirming. I've run a test on the line which hasn't detected a fault, however I can see re-connections on the line which can affect the sync speed. Does your main socket have a test socket please?

Thanks

I can’t remember but last year I was getting download speeds on the 40’s, occasionally it would reach 50

Morning,

I'm sorry to hear this. Were you provided with a predicted speed range for the line when you signed up?

Thanks

Yep, it’s all working as it should, speeds are the same as what TalkTalk have quoted. It’s a shame Fibre 65 is only 27.6 Mb/s download and 5.06 Mb/s upload yet 10 houses down, it’s double the speed 😡

That should be fine - are you getting the download speed you were expecting?

Thanks, that worked.

When I set DSL modulation to G.fast, I don’t get a connection, it only works if DSL modulation is set to Auto Sync up, I’m not sure if this is an issue or not.
