Hi langy71

Thanks for trying this. I'm not sure why this would only be affecting certain routers/devices as I have spoken to other customers using the same router/firmware and Xbox without any issues.

Hi @threefins you recently experienced a similar issue. Have you made any changes to your router settings?

Hi @Debbie-TalkTalk I have just re-enabled UPnP and it still does not work.

Certainly, if they put V174 on there, UPnP (at least on my router) no longer works.

Hi langy71

Thanks for your reply.

I'm wondering if it's worth trying a factory reset (pin hole reset for ten seconds)

I have asked 2 colleagues on my team, both have this Xbox and the same router but are not experiencing this issue. Also our Devices Team have been unable to replicate this issue but are still testing.

Hi langy71

Our Devices Team have asked if you have made any changes to firewall level, port forwarding rules etc?

Have any changes been made to the default settings?

Then until this bug is fixed you must use port forwarding.

What router are you using? I did report the bug of UPnP no longer working on the Sagemcom routers to TalkTalk a while ago. I can't stress enough though how insecure it is making your whole network, by enabling this facility. Port forwarding is much safer & I can help a lot with that.

Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) is what your Xbox uses to set up your router for multiplayer gaming and chat.
