Router keeps flashing orange

My internet has been working fine all day then comes 5pm it starts flashing orange and hasn’t stopped. I’ve tried turning the power off & leaving it, resetting the router but it just comes back flashing orange. 
Someone mentioned it could be my router as I’ve done the service checks and I’m being told everything is fine.

ive tried contacting talk talk through the chat but they’re busy so wondering if anyone can help me.

Thankyou, have I updated the profile now? I have added my number and saved it all 🙂

Still no WiFi but I’ll just wait till they open and see if they’re able to help again.
Just very stressful as I have calls today lol.

Your profile information is not sufficient for Talktalk staff to identify your account, at the moment, @Anonymous.


Please take another look at it.


Crucial to add your Talktalk landline phone number.


Go via your avatar/name; settings; from the drop down menu that starts with "email", choose Personal Information.  Check that you have completed all fields. SAVE CHANGES. 


Staff will not phone you. All communication is through the forum thread, and it can take more than a day for staff to reach your thread to reply.

Thankyou for the reply, I’ve done and tried everything and after 24hours my internet still isn’t working and I really need the problem to bBe solved ASAP as I have zoom meetings with Great Ormond and I don’t think my mobile data will last through the calls.

I have updated the profile to be contacted, and will try again the live chat.

If you have a landline phone can you check to see if that is working normally (i.e. you have a clear dial tone and no noise on the line).


If your master phone socket has a test socket then you could also try the router in there, that would then eliminate any of the phone wiring in your home as being a possible cause of the problem.


For one of the TalkTalk staff on this community to be able to look into this you will need to update your community profile to include your name, landline telephone number that your TalkTalk service is provided on & an alternative contact number. This will allow them to identify you, and they will then be able to help.


Don't post any personal details in this thread, just add them to your community profile.


Then they will hopefully be able to respond to this post within a working day or two.

You may get faster support from the live chat or by phoning up during opening hours, the live chat is less busy in the morning if you were able to try to contact them then.
