Why are my upload speeds so slow

I am on Fibre 65 but am currently receiving upload speeds of only 0.6mbps. As far as I can tell from openreach and ofcom I am on FTTC and they predict it should be 10-18. Why is mine so much slower. I have been with TalkTalk for years and never had any issues but recently I have noticed that video calls always say I have no/poor connection.

Hi LottieLuu

Ok I think we should arrange an engineer visit to the property. Would you like me to arrange this?

Please can you provide your availability AM and PM?

Can you also confirm potential engineer charges Engineer charges

Hi LottieLuu

Would it be possible to post a photo of your master socket on this thread?

Thanks Debbie, I dont have a separate test socket so router is plugged directly into the main (and only) socket I have.

Hi LottieLuu

Openreach have now closed the fault but the speed hasn't increased, apologies for this.

Is the new router and filter connected directly at the test socket?

The next step following this will be an Openreach engineer visit to the property.

Thanks

Hi LottieLuu

This fault is still with the Openreach line engineers, I will let you know as soon as I receive further updates updates.

Thanks

Hi LottieLuu

Thanks for confirming that the new router is now connected.

I've checked and I can see that the upload speed hasn't increased, but the line test has now detected a possible fault so I have passed this straight over to Openreach to be investigated by a line engineer.

I will monitor for additional updates.

Hi LottieLuu

No problem 🙂

The router is on its way, please allow 24-48hrs for this to arrive.

Let us know once the new router is connected and we can check the speed again. We may need to allow DLM to monitor the connection for at least 48hrs with the new router connected before it makes changes to the speed.

Thanks again.
