VPN suddenly not working

Last Thursday my VPN connection to my office computer suddenly stopped working. Our IT company spent hours trying to figure out what the issue is and eventually realised that there is no problem with the VPN, only with my TalkTalk internet service.

 

Having looked in this forum I can see that a lot of other people have had the same issue and it seems to have been resolved by using a new router, which is what my IT company also suggested may fix the problem. 

 

I am not able to work from the office at the moment so need my VPN up and running asap in order to continue working from home.
