User ACS accessing router and resetting DSL - intermittent internet

Looks like something was changed on my router last night as it had an uptime of less than 24 hours.

Since then internet is dropping temporarily every half an hour.

Logs show user ACS making changes like below which resets the DSL link.

This is now happening EVERY half hour making internet useless.

**** Is this a faulty firmware upgrade attempt?

How do I get a new router sent out please?  ****

Hi nigelp74

The router is on its way, please allow 24-48hrs for this to arrive.

Let us know how the connection compares with this router.

Thanks

Yes please, that would be great.
The router I am using was already an old one that I had as a spare, put in when my last Talktalk router had a firmware update fail about a year ago.
Many thanks!

Nigel

Morning,

I'm sorry to hear this. I've run a test on the line now which is clear. Would you like us to send a replacement router for testing purposes to rule this out?

Thanks

Michelle

No joy I'm afraid. For a minute there I thought the factory reset may have done the trick, stable for an hour.
But it's just gone again and back again a minute later.

What's the next thing to try please?

Thanks.
The ACS user access I now assume is a by product of the following happening approx every 20-40 mins:

System Notice WAN connection INTERNET_TR069_R_VID_101:IPv4 disconnected.(ERROR_NO_CARRIER)

Because if I disable the remote access on the router I just now get these followed by a reconnect about a min later.

I haven't given a factory reset a go, will try now. But does this error likely point to an issue on the line?

Hi nigelp74

I'm sorry to hear this.

We aren't rolling out new firmware at the moment.

Have you tried a factory reset? (pin hole reset for ten seconds)
