Questions regarding the practical possibilities in fibre installations

Hi

How much flexibility is there in the installation of TalkTalk full fibre 65 (FTTP)?

If the room for installing the router only has a single power socket, at up to 5 metres away from the fibre entry point, can an extension lead be used to power the Fibre Connection Box and the router?

Can the householder specify where the (underground) fibre cable should enter the property? Can this be independent of where the existing copper wire landline reaches the property?

Can the Customer Splice Point be fitted inside a (full-height) cupboard next to the front door alongside the existing electricity and gas meters?

Can the cable between the Customer Splice Point and the Fibre Connection Box be of the order of two metres?

Thanks

1.        Yes.

2.       Within limits. If it is to be underground then it will enter your property at the nearest wall to the approach point, usually the front.

3&4.  Not sure what you mean here? The ONT, where the external fibre cable is connected to an internal wall unit, generally needs to be very close to the entry point.
