I cannot see or read any of my emails as ads are completely blocking them. They are overlaying all of the page. Any ideas please ?

On a mobile, try the Chrome browser and select the browser triple dots menu top right, select Settings > Site settings and Ads and select that option to Blocked on some sites. This setting in Chrome is designed to eliminate intrusive advertising that obscures other content. You may need to sign out of TalkTalk Mail, close the browser and start over with the new settings.
Or use the email app on a mobile. Then you'll not be disturbed by any advertising.
