can i cancel for free?

Hi

Im in the last month of my contract (ends 28th May) , does that mean i can leave with no cancellation fees as i believe we pay a month in advance?. Thanks

@stuntdouble, ensure that you tell the new service at point of sale that you need to keep your current phone number. 

 

These days, the guidelines recommend that you check with Talktalk in addition.

Thank you just the answer I needed . You even answered another query I had regarding if the new supplier could sort everything which in my case as I'm FTTC it appears they can.

Yes, but you still have to give 30 days notice. Unless you are on an ADSL/FTTC service and switching to another provider on the Openreach network, in which case you can a ask them to take over your service and they will notify TalkTalk on your behalf.
