Apparently I can request the auto optimisation on the TalkTalk router is remotely disabled? If this is true, can this please be disabled as it does not work and results in non optimal channel usage.

Kind regards,

James

Hi James

I'm so glad to hear this 🙂

I have passed on your feedback to our Products Team.

I've also sent you a Private Message with a link to a short survey for the Community.

Thanks again.

Hi Debbie,

You have changed my world! OK, maybe that's a bit OTT, but you have definitely saved the router from being torn out and thrown in the bin.

It has been sat nicely on channel 52 all week without complaint. Please can you kindly ask the devs to disable the "optimisation" by default, or at least give an option to toggle it off in the GUI.

Kind regards,

James

Hi Chris,

Yes, a Sagemcom Fast 5364-3.T8 running firmware SG4K100136.

The router consistently switches from channel 52 (80 MHz channel width) back to the heavily congested channel 48 overnight. I don't think this is a DFS issue the router stays on channel 52 all day without issue once manually set back.

Kind regards,

James

Hi James,

Yes we can do this for you, do you have the Sagemcom router?
