In order to process a Power of Attorney/Authority to Act/Deputyship, we require you to provide the TalkTalk Account holder’s details together with the potential Power of Attorney’s/Deputy information. As Power of Attorney or Deputy, you won’t be liable for any charges on your account, because you’re not the named account holder, but you will be able to make decisions on behalf of the account holder. Deputyship is where the Court of Protection appoints somebody (known as a Deputy) to manage a person's financial affairs. This is needed when that person hasn't already requested a Power of Attorney and is no longer able to manage their own affairs. Deputyship gives that person the authority to act on a customers behalf and to make decisions and manage a customers account.
