We've been working with our Internet security specialists, F-Secure, to bring you a new and improved SuperSafe. This gives you even more protection against threats such as viruses, worms, spyware, phishing attacks and hackers. The software also comes with parental controls so you can look after the little ones.SuperSafe is compatible with Android 8.0 or newer, downloading is easy just follow these steps below.
Unable to find your activation email? If you've still not received your activation or the forgotten password link email then it's worth checking your spam folder in Webmail.
Download and install
It's important that you download and install SuperSafe on your device to get yourself protected
Step 1 - Opt-in for SuperSafe
Follow the steps below to opt-in for the SuperSafe in My Account. If you've already opted in, go to Step 2.
- Log in to My Account
- Choose Profile & Settings in the navigation dropdown menu,
- Select My Security Settings
- Under SuperSafe online security select Find out more
- Select the radio button for SuperSafe in the section called Manage your security
- Then choose the Confirm order button
- Your Android is now protected, and you can manage your license through your SuperSafe App
Once you've done this, you'll be sent a username, password and download link in an email from F-secure.
tt_icon-pdf You will only be sent the email containing your username and password once. If you cancel, restart the subscription or upgrade/downgrade, you won't receive another email from F-Secure. We recommend keeping the email safe and if you forget your password, you can reset it by selecting Forgot your password? For more information on passwords, head over to our troubleshooting article.
Step 2 - Install SuperSafe on your device
You'll need to do this part on your Android device.
- Open your F-Secure email and tap the download link.
- Alternatively, you can open Chrome, log in to SuperSafe through My Account, and then tap Add Device.
- The SuperSafe installer will open and the Android option will already be highlighted. Tap Continue.
- When the Google Play Store has opened, tap Install and then Accept. Once the download has finished, tap Open.
- Accept the terms and conditions. The page will load while SuperSafe is activated.
- Now you'll need to log in again and give your Android device a name. When you're happy, tap Continue.
Step 3 - Setup complete
Your Android is now protected, and you can manage your license through your SuperSafe App
Family Rules
We've been busy with our partners over at F-Secure to bring you new features that will make protecting your family even easier. Here are the basic steps and as you go through setting it up on your Android phone, there's a guide to enabling Parental Control on the phone.
- Log in with your SuperSafe account details
- Select who will use this device
- Add name and child's age range and tap Next
- Set up Family Rules. We recommend that you go through the next steps with your child and take the opportunity to explain why you're setting the rules and have a discussion around online boundaries.
- Set the Time limits for App access
- Set default settings for new Apps installed
- Set time limits
- Select the types of content that you want to block then tap next
- Tap Continue and follow the instructions
- Tap Activate
- Follow the instructions on the next screen and tap Continue
- The device is now protected tap Finish
- You'll then get a confirmation screen
Removing SuperSafe
- Open the menu in the top left-hand corner and select More
- Select Uninstall
- If you entered a security code, you'll be asked to type it in now
- Select OK to uninstall SuperSafe
Manage devices
- You can invite a person to protect their device through your SuperSafe App
- You can also revoke licences
- You can identify the main account holder by looking for the person with the white circle outline in the account
Run a Virus Scan
- Open SuperSafe
- Tap Antivirus
- Tap Scan now
Website & Browsing Time restrictions

- Open SuperSafe
- Tap Parental Controls
- Select Enable
- Enter the anti-theft security code when prompted
- Enter your email address or select Skip
- Move down to where it says Allowed Content
- In Web Content and Apps select the categories you want to block
Browsing
- Open SuperSafe
- Tap Parental Controls
- Tap Time limits
- Select the apps for which you want to apply the time limits, for example, games
- Tap Continue
- Select the total amount of time you want the user to be able to use those apps during a day
- Tap OK
